Violations

The NCAA is out to get all the good athletic programs. It all started off with the USC scandal, and today they made USC give back the copy of Reggie Bush's Heisman. Now Alabama and Florida are on the edge of their seats. I mean if the NCAA keeps on going after these teams and putting them on probation it will not be fun to watch College Football knowing that these games don't count.

Dodger Trouble

The Dodgers are having major troubles. They have lost 6 games in a row and their hitting and pitching has gone down. Last night their troubles continued. To start off Lincecum had 3 wild pitches, and one hit Matt Kemp. Then Batista hit Russel Martin. Clayton Kershaw retaliated. He got thrown out of the game with Joe Torre. Then, in the 9th inning the bases were loaded for the Giants. Don Mattingly went to the moung to talk with Broxton and the infield. James Loney did not hear something so Mattingly came back to the mound but that is not allowed for a coach to come back to the 18 foot rubber. So the Dodgers lost 7-5 in the 9th.

MLB Now

Today was a big day in sports. David Ortiz won the Home Run Derby last night. Earlier today George Steinbrenner died of a heart attack! He was 80 and lived in Tampa Bay. He said the two most important things in life were breathing and winning. Later today is the All Star Game. I have the NL winning and stopping the drought. They have lost 7 years in a row. I think Ubaldo Jimenez will take it over David Price 3-1. The NL will get home field advantage in the World Series if they win. The MVP will be Rafael Furcal of the LA Dodgers.

Home Run King

Tonight is the Home Run Derby. It will be held in Anaheim where the whole All Star Weekend is held. I have Miguel Cabrera beating Matt Holiday in the finals. Cabrera will be knocking balls way out of the park. Ortiz will fall in the second round. This is probably one of the most exciting parts of the All Star Week every year. Cabrera will be the Home Run King tonight.

WC Finals

Today at 1:30 it is the World Cup Finals! Spain and Netherlands face off in what is supposed to be a great battle. Neither country has won a title. Germany and Uruguay played for 3rd place yesterday. Germany won for the second straight year. The score was 3-2. Klose failed to score a goal, so he ended his career tied for secong with most WC goals. Today I have the Netherlands beating Spain and taking home the title.

Big Three

There is a new 'Big Three' in the NBA. LeBron James is on the Miami Heat! He'll be with Bosh and Wade. The thing is: It's Wade's team and nothing can take that away from him. He's won a title all by himself. My first thought when James picked Miami was, 'poor Cleveland.' Some say the Heat will definitely win the title. I don't see that. It will take one year for the Heat to adjust with all of the stars. The two teams who are the losers of the free agency are the Cavs and Nets. The Heat were clearly the winners of the Summer of 2010.

Countdown

There are 4 hours until LeBron makes his decision! The word on the street is that he will go to Miami with Bosh and Wade. The Knicks are coming closer to LeBron every minute. The Cavs are still holding on, but it is unlikely that they will get him. I, have LeBron going to the... New York Knicks! They might get Carmelo and Tony Parker next year. LeBron just bought a house in Greenwich. The reason they are having the press conference in Greenwich is because James is down at Carmelo Anthony's wedding in Greenwich. I guess will have to wait until 9:00 tonight to find out where LeBron James is going.

Free Agency Frenzy

There has been a lot of talk about all the different free agents. To start off with the big news, LeBron, is holding a 1 hour Sportscenter Special tomorrow at 9:00. He will decide where he will go. It will be in Greenwich, CT. I think he'll stay in Cleveland but why does he have the Press Conference in Connecticut? That is a definite sign that he might go to the Knicks. In other news, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh are going to the Heat! They said today that they are willing to do a sign and trade with the Heat. Earlier today, Kevin Durant got a 5 year extension. He is like my favorite player in the league. He is an amazing player, doesn't need to be in a big city, and he is committed to the Thunder. The Bulls got Carlos Boozer earlier today, too. There are still lots of questions to be answered in this Summer of 2010.

Soccer Semifinals

In the Semifinals of the World Cup the picks, for me, are easy. I have Germany beating Spain 3-1. I think Klose will beat Ronaldinho's WC Goal Record. Klose has 14 and Ronaldinho had 15. I also have Netherlands beating Uruguay 2-1. Netherlands and Germany will face in the title.

Round of 8

In the World Cup's Round of 8 there are interesting matches. First I have Argentina beating Germany 2-1. Then Paraguay will beat Spain 2-0. I also have Ghana beating Uruguay 4-2 in a high scoring match. Then, for the upset of the day, I have the Dutch beating Brazil 2-1 in extra time. It will be an exciting round in the World Cup.

Wimbledon

Wimbledon this year has been exciting. To start it off Federer was tested to the limit, but came out and won. Later on the queen came to visit Wimbledon. That is when it happened. There was an 11:05 tennis match. John Isner beat Nicholas Mahut 3 sets to 2 but in the last set it was 70-68! The next day Isner lost and basically was too tired to care. Then in the Quarters, Roger Federer lost to Tomas Berdych in 4 sets. Venus Williams also lost before Federer. In the semifinals Novak Djokovic plays Tomas Berdych. I like Berdych in 4 sets. Nadal and Murray also face-off. I have Murray in 5 sets. Nadal will never be the same after he had that injury.
