Little Man

Japan is the 2010 LLWS Champions. They beat Hawaii 4-1 in the Finals. They won the whole thing with 6th inning rallies and pitching. They beat Mexico to start off, then beat Puerto Rico, Mexico again, Chinese Taipei in 7 innings, and to end it, they defeated Hawaii to get the title. Japan has 7 Little League World Series titles. Only America and Chinese Taipei have more. Japan comes out on top in the 2010 Little League World Series.

Revenge

Japan and Hawaii face off in the Little League World Series. It could be revenge for Hawaii after Japan bombed them in World War 2. Japan upset Chinese Taipei yesterday as Hawaii beat Texas 10-0 F5. Ty DeSa will be huge as Hawaii will win 6-3. Hawaii will try to win their 3rd title in 6 years.

HI, West v.s GA, Southeast

Georgia and Hawaii face off in the Pool A Finals. Hawaii is from the Losers Bracket and Georgia is from the Winners. Georgia beat Hawaii to start it off. Yesterday, Hawaii got back at them and won 7-4. Winner moves on. Loser packs their bags. I have Georgia winning 6-4 in a close matchup. Jacob Pate is on the mound for Georgia. He is their ace. Texas awaits the winner of tomorrow's game.

MLB Now

In the AL Wild Card it is clear that the Rays or Yankees will win it. The closest team is the Red Sox, who are 5 games back. In the NL it is a different story. The Giants lead the NL Wild Card by half a game over Philly. St. Louis is 1 game back. The Dodgers and Rockies are making a move. Colorado is 4 games back and LA is 5. But meanwhile, they are 11 and 10 games back in the NL West. The Padres are the best in the NL. Watch out for the Rockies and Dodgers heading into September.

Japan v.s Mexico

Japan and Mexico face-off in the Pool C Finals. Japan won the last meeting 4-2 with a three run home run in the 6th. Mexico just beat Puerto Rico and Germany. Mexico has good pitching and nice hitting. They make you make errors, like they did versus Puerto Rico. Japan has such smart and risky base running. They get in a rundown but get out of it with an extra base. I have Mexico winning 5-4, though.

LLWS

I will be doing a Little League special for the next week. I will tell you who will be a dark horse, the favorite, and the sleeper team in the Little League World Series. Stay tuned for this next week because all give you the best information around. This will be one of the best LLWS in the last 50 years.

Mexico is playing Puerto Rico in the Little League World Series. It is an elimination game. Loser is gone. Winner will play Japan in Pool Final. Here is the scoreboard:

LAX Title

Congrats to the Chesapeke Bayhawks for beating the Long Island Lizards in the MLL Title. The Bayhawks have switched locations to get more fans and it finally worked out. In the MLL there are only 6 teams. Chesapeke was the 5th best team last year. Matt Danowski, son of Jack Danowski, [Duke Coach] failed to take the title. The Bayhawks take home the trophy, this year.

Right Now

If you want to know what is going on right now this is the place. Brett Favre claims that him and Childress have a great relationship and that it was not the reason he hesitated to come back. Around the Horn and AOL Fanhouse analyst, Jay Mariotti, was arrested for a domestic incident. The Little League World Series has started. Minnesota, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and New Jersey are all out of the tourney. The Chesapeke Bayhawks beat the Long Island Lizards in the Major Lacrosse League Championship.

Wild Card

The Wild Card race is heating up. In the AL it is either the Yankees or Rays, whoever loses the division. In the NL it is different. The Giants, Phillies, and Reds are tied for 1st. The Rockies are 5 games and the Dodgers are 5 and a half games behind the leaders. But Colorado lost to the Mets earlier, so they might be 6 games behind, by the end of the day. The Dodgers and Phillies are in their rubber game of the series. I have the Dodgers winning 5-2. It is time to make your move, go on a win streak, or have a spark of life in the race for the division or the Wild Card.

CFL Review

College Football is almost here! Tennessee starts a new era with Derek Dooley. SC is going into this season knowing that they are not ranked and can't play in a bowl. Bama is ranked number 1, Ohio State is 2, Florida 3, Texas 4, and Boise State 5. My Heisman candidates are Jake Locker, Mark Ingram, and Kase Keenum.

Mr. 600

Finally. A Rod hit his 600th home run off of Shaun Marcum! Jeter scored as well. A Rod is now a member of the 600 club. Is he one of the best players in the game, ever? No. But these last two years have been big for him. He won the World Series and now he hit No. 600.

Retirement?

Here we go again. Brett Favre say that he will retire. It is not a done deal, though. If he does retire I still think the Vikings will make the Wild Card. The Packers will win the division and the Bears will fall short. The running game will have to step up. The receiving will have to be like it was last year.

Heating Up

The MLB is heating up now. The Dodgers are 7 games back in the NL West. They are chasing the Padres. The Giants remain in second as they play the Dodgers on Sunday Night baseball. A-Rod is still at 599. The Rays are two games behind the Yankees as they are in the rubber game of the series. The Reds are tied in 1st with the Cardinals. The Dodgers sent Blake Dewitt and acquired Ted Lilly and Ryan Theriot from the Cubs. Adam Dunn was not traded. The MLB is getting good as they head into August.
