The Dodgers just took 2-3 versus the Reds. The next 24 out of 27 games for the Dodgers are versus losing teams. The Rockies and Giants play tonight in a big series.

Little League Action

The Little League World Series has begun. There are 8 teams in it 4 international teams and 4 American teams. Tonight on ESPN and ESPN2 San Antonio, Texas plays Staten Island, New York at 8:00. Curacou plays Chinese Taipai at 3:00. Then tommorow Japan plays Mexico at 3:00. At 8:00 Warner Robins, Georgia plays Chulavista, California. Then the winners of the games play each other. Then on August 30th the finals start. Texas will lose to Staten Island and Georgia will beat Chulavista. Japan will beat Mexico and Taipai will lose to Curacou.Georgia will play Curacou in the finals and Curacou will be the next Little League Champions.

Colarado gaining on LA

For the last 4 days the Dodgers played the Cubs. The Dodgers won three out of 4 games verse the Cubs. It is just what the Dodgers needed. The Rockies are 3 games behind them. The Rockies continue their series versus the Giants. The Dodgers go into Colarado for a three game series tommorow then play the Reds.

Where The Turf Meets The Surf

It's M Dog on location in Del Mar, California. Today I went to the races. The horse races. Thoroughbreds that is. "Where the Turf Meets the Surf" down at Ol' Del Mar. Played the ponies. In the first race, M Dog picked "Walker Rd." to show. "Joe Carl" came in first. "Turbo Energy" came in second. "Uncle Jeep" came in third. The favorite "Defense King" got scratched. In the second race -- 6 1/2 Furlongs Maiden Claiming -- I picked "Torrey Cliffs" to show. "Church Avenue" won. "Lady Alex" the favorite, placed (that's came in second to you neophytes). And "Torrey Cliffs" came in third, so I was in the money. I also won some money in the third race with "Waafi" a CalBred with Michael Baze in the irons. In the fourth, I picked "Denise's Gift" to show and "U Turn Me Crazy," who my brother T-Mac picked, won! Congrats T-Mac. In the fifth, "Just Charmed" had a nine-length lead and ended-up coming in dead last.

Roddick's Milestone

Andy Roddick just got his 500th win last night. He is the number 1 seed at the tournament in D.C. I will be happy for him if he wins. He lost in a close match versus Federer at Wimbledon.He had such a good chance with Nadal hurt. Well I got him winning in D.C. Now he wants to win this tournament then win a big tournament.He is the best American right now. You like that Christian Cho? Roddick has one of the best serves I have ever seen. He has to get another major.

The Rivarly continues

Tonight the Red Sox and Yankees play. I got the Yankees losing 8-6. The Yankees will fall to 0-9 versus the Sox. On Friday the Yanks will win their first game versus the Red Sox. David Ortiz says 'he will hold a press confrence on Saturday about the drugs." On Saturday the Sox will win. The Yankees will fall to 1-10 to versus the Sox.Then the Yankees will win the 4th game 4-2.They will be 2-10 versus the Sox at the end of the series.

Clubhouse Action

Last night, the Dodgers played the Brewers. In the middle of the game, the Brewers pitcher hit Manny Ramirez in the head. Later in the game, Guillermo Mota hit Prince Fielder and got ejected. Fielder got mad.At the end of the game Fielder tried to get into the Dodger clubhouse and talk to Mota. I don't like how they hit Manny.The Brewers did it last night and verse the Phillies in the postseason last year. Russel Martin said "Mota hit him near the legs where it doesn't hurt as much."

Tonight's Matchups

Tonight the Royals and the Rays go at it with Zack Greinke on the mound for the Royals and Scott Kazmir for the Rays.Greinke did not get a win in July but he will tonight.The Dodgers will beat the Brewers With Kershaw on the mound and Manny Parra will fall to 5-9.

Trade Deadline

The trade deadline was yesterday. Roy Halladay did not get traded. Jake Peavy went to the White Sox. Jared Washburn went to the Tigers. George Sherrill went to the Dodgers and made a good appearence last night. Cliff Lee went to the Phillies and was great last night. The most suprised one was Peavy.Every one of these guys are pitchers. The best pitcher Roy Halladay. Cliff Lee a close second. Jered Washburn third. George Sherrill 4th. Jake Peavy great pitcher but fifth. This is right now if it was ever Peavy on top.
